What you'll learn

  • Choose between Flow, a validation rule, Apex and doing nothing at all
  • Build screen flows and record-triggered flows that hold up under real data
  • Reason about the order of execution, context and the running user
  • Handle failure deliberately with fault paths rather than hoping
  • Run a flow in production: monitor it, version it, and change it safely

Requirements

  • CORE-110 Platform Administrator, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • A free Developer Edition org

Description

Flow is the most powerful thing an administrator can build and the easiest to build badly. This course starts before Flow Builder opens — with choosing the tool at all — and ends well after the flow works, with fault paths, limits, testing, and what you do when the flow that ran fine for a year stops.

Screen flows, record-triggered flows, the order of execution and the running user, approvals, subflows and scale are all taught against automation that has to survive contact with real data. It deepens the Process Automation domain of the Platform Administrator exam; it carries no exam of its own.

Who this course is for

  • Administrators who are already building automation and want it to stop breaking.
