CRM Cloud Mastery compared with Trailhead, video courses and bootcamps

Most people learning Salesforce use more than one of these, and they should. This page is an honest account of what each one is good at, and where this library fits.

Trailhead

Trailhead is Salesforce's own free learning platform, and nothing here replaces it. It is free, it is official, it is kept current by the people who ship the product, and its hands-on challenges are graded automatically against a playground org. If you are starting from zero, start there.

What it is not built to be is a sequenced course. Trailhead is a very large collection of modules you assemble yourself, each written to stand alone, which means the connective tissue — why this design and not that one, what breaks at volume, what an interviewer will actually ask — is mostly left to you. That connective tissue is what this library is. Our courses run in order, build on each other, and are organised around exam blueprints and job roles rather than around features.

Video courses

Video is good at showing you where things are. It is poor at being referred back to: six months later you know the answer is somewhere in lecture 41, and finding it means scrubbing. Recorded click-throughs also age badly — Salesforce ships three releases a year and moves the interface.

Written lessons trade the mouse-following for searchability and shelf life. Each of our 1,191 lessons can be skimmed, searched and re-read at your pace, and each ends in something you have built in your own org rather than something you watched someone build in theirs.

Bootcamps and instructor-led training

A live cohort gives you two things a self-paced library cannot: a schedule that makes you turn up, and a human being to ask when you are stuck. If you know you will not finish anything without a deadline, that is worth paying for.

The costs are the obvious ones — you pay several times more, you learn at the cohort's pace rather than your own, and when the cohort ends so does your access. Here, an all-access plan covers the whole library for as long as you keep it, and a single course you buy outright stays with you for a year, updates included.

What this library is, in one paragraph

Thirty-two sequenced Salesforce courses and 1,191 written lessons across Administrator, Developer, Agentforce, Data 360, Architect and consulting tracks. Every lesson ends in something built in your own free Developer Edition org and a quiz that checks it stuck; every course ends in a certificate with a verification link. Two complete courses are free, with no trial clock.

The fair way to judge it is to read one. Browse the 32 courses, or see what the plans cost.
